The Bad Seed" is a 2018 American made-for-television horror drama film directed by Rob Lowe for Lifetime. Lowe is also the executive producer and stars in the film alongside Mckenna Grace, Sarah Dugdale, Marci T. House, Lorne Cardinal, Chris Shields, Cara Buono, and a special appearance by Patty McCormack. The movie is based on the 1954 novel by William March, the 1954 play, and the 1956 film adaptation.

Plot: The film follows a father who is forced to question everything he thought he knew about his daughter when he believes that she might have played a role in the tragic death of one of her classmates 

The movie received mixed reviews. Some critics have praised the performance of Mckenna Grace and the reimagining of the cult classic, while others found it lacking in comparison to the original. As of now, there are no critic reviews available on Rotten Tomatoes for "The Bad Seed".

"The Bad Seed" originally aired on Lifetime on September 9, 2018. It is a remake of the 1956 film and the second remake of the story, with the first being a 1985 film. A sequel to the 2018 film was ordered by Lifetime in November 2021, with Mckenna Grace set to reprise her role.
